## Common questions parents ask

- **Is the assessment really free?** Yes. Pay only if you decide to proceed to the full toolkit (£29.99).
- **What grounds carry weight with appeal panels?** Siblings already at the school, distance/travel, community or faith connections, admissions criteria errors, and specific connections between the child and the school.
- **What are the chances of success?** According to DfE data for 2025: about 1 in 5 secondary appeals heard are successful; about 1 in 6 primary; about 3 in 10 primary Years 3–6. Infant class size appeals succeed in about 1 in 10 cases.
- **Is this legal advice?** No. It is a drafting and preparation tool. For legal advice, IPSEA (https://www.ipsea.org.uk) provides independent specialist advice.

Appeal Ready is built on the School Admission Appeals Code 2022 and the School Standards and Framework Act 1998.

## Data handling
